COURSE CONTENT: Open to beginners in sculpture and students with any level of drawing or painting experience, this four week course will focus on the study of the human head, including its anatomy, features and expression. Throughout the course you will learn how to sculpt a traditional portrait bust out of air dry clay, which will enhance your understanding of the facial plane, as well as how to approach a subject with three dimensions.

Taught by Melbourne based artist Ben Howe, who is renowned for his strong practice in photo realist painting and sculpture, with over 20 years experience as a practicing artist. To view Ben's work, please head to www.ben-howe.com

MATERIALS: Students are required to bring or purchase their own materials for this course. A materials list will be emailed to students a few weeks prior to the first class; materials purchased through the school are priced with a 20% discount, and can be picked up at the beginning of the first class.
