Winter Drawing Intensive with Geoff Dupree

Improve your drawing skills with one of Melbourne's most formidable art tutors. With over 40 years of teaching experience and a solid history of exhibition, you will gain new and useful insights into this practice.  

This intensive offers students 5 full days of drawing from a variety of scenarios using complex still life and life models. An emphasis on spacial awareness, the inter-relationship of forms and composition will be the feature of this particular intensive.

Linocut Printmaking with Bridget Hillebrand

Throughout this one day workshop, students will be introduced to the basic skills and techniques of linocut printing to produce a small series of unique prints that can be printed by hand or on a traditional press. Bridget will demonstrate a variety of safe and easy cutting techniques, and will provide examples of artworks for discussion; editioning and professional methods of presentation will also be discussed.

Spring Drawing & Painting Intensive with Troy Argyros

This intensive program will teach students how to paint classical figures in a realistic manner. Using an understanding that focuses on tonal colour palettes and shape blocks, students will build a series of nude paintings using oil colours. This five day intensive is excellent for students who wish to accelerate their observational painting skills in a structured and classical manner.

Taught by Troy Argyros, a reputable upcoming artist who is currently extending his wide range of classical drawing and painting skills in Florence, Italy where he is undertaking further formal studies. A lover of traditional Atelier techniques, students of his classes see a rapid development in their ability to render realism in a rich and accurate manner.

Drypoint Printmaking with Bridget Hillebrand

Throughout this one day workshop, students will learn the techniques of drypoint by experimenting with different mark making and printing techniques. Students will learn how to transfer a drawing, prepare a plate, and print a small edition. Drypoints can be developed as an exciting extension to other art practices and students are encouraged to work from their own drawings or photographs.
