Drawing & Painting Studio with Geoff Dupree
This course is open to experienced students and artists who wish to refine fundamental drawing and painting skills, such as the appropriate use of form and colour in the development of images. The subject matter throughout the term will include a variety of situations and compositional themes, including the human figure.

Abstract Painting with Brock Q. Piper
This course is suitable for students who wish to undertake a number of structured exercises and individual projects that explore both figurative and non-figurative elements, with a focus on the use of colour, texture, composition and meaning.
Taught by emerging Melbourne based artist Brock Q. Piper who has a passion and commitment to sharing his deep and rich knowledge with students that are keen to develop their creativity, and ability to produce works that contain both personal expression and artistic technique.
Drawing & Painting for Beginners with Roman Schoeni
This course is designed for beginner students who want to learn the very basics of drawing and painting techniques in an intuitive environment. While gaining an understanding of colour, composition, perspective and technique, this class also delves into a psychological realm of what drives humans toward the need to express the self through imagery.
This course is perfect for beginners who wish to discover their connection to visual expression, and is a gentle and joyful introduction to art making. All exercises can be adapted to a higher level for students wishing to continue this course.
Taught by the highly regarded Swiss Abstraction artist and art therapist Roman Schoeni, who loves thinking outside of the box. Roman offers ideas and methods that include traditional art techniques, contemporary processes and therapeutic exercises to help students develop a rounded and holistic set of creative skills.
Portraiture & Realism with Ben Howe
Throughout the course students will have the opportunity to explore both traditional and contemporary oil painting techniques in order to create an original and accomplished portrait painting. Students will be guided through each step of the process from observation and composition, to drawing, tonal value, brush technique, colour preparation, glazing and more, with the scope for an individualised development of technique.
There are also a limited number of spaces for students that are advanced in their practice, who wish to develop an individual piece or body of work under Ben's mentorship.

Clay Bust Sculpture with Ben Howe
This course is open to beginners in sculpture and students with any level of drawing or painting experience. This four week short course will focus on the study of the human head, including its anatomy, features and expression in order to learn how to sculpt a traditional portrait bust out of air dry clay.
Taught by Melbourne based artist Ben Howe, who is renowned for his strong practice in photo realist painting and sculpture, with over 20 years experience as a practicing artist.
